Description

Classic sugar cookies decorated with colorful sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles


Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, reduce baking time slightly.
  • You can chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for easier handling.
