Description
A fast and flavorful Cajun-inspired shrimp pasta dish ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces linguine
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and season with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water (start with 1/4 cup and add more if needed to reach desired consistency).
- Return shrimp to the skillet. Add cooked linguine and toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
