Simple Glazed Carrots

Description

A quick and easy recipe for sweet and tender glazed carrots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Place sliced carrots in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes, until crisp-tender.
  2. Drain the carrots.
  3. Return the saucepan to medium heat. Add butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the drained carrots to the saucepan and toss to coat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of orange juice or maple syrup to the glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
