Description
A quick and easy recipe for sweet and tender glazed carrots.
Ingredients
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place sliced carrots in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes, until crisp-tender.
- Drain the carrots.
- Return the saucepan to medium heat. Add butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
- Add the drained carrots to the saucepan and toss to coat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of orange juice or maple syrup to the glaze.
- Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
