Description

A simple recipe for smooth and creamy mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes thoroughly.
  3. Return the potatoes to the pot and mash them with a potato masher or ricer until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the warm milk, butter, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined and creamy.
  5. Serve immediately.
