Description

A simple and comforting broccoli cheese casserole recipe.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, cooked
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup crushed crackers


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and chopped onion.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and crushed crackers.
  6. Sprinkle the cracker topping evenly over the broccoli mixture.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen broccoli. If using frozen, thaw and drain it well before using.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or a dash of black pepper to the mixture.
  • Feel free to substitute other cheeses like Monterey Jack or a cheese blend.
