A simple and comforting broccoli cheese casserole recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli florets, cooked
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup crushed crackers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and chopped onion.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and crushed crackers.
- Sprinkle the cracker topping evenly over the broccoli mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
- Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use fresh or frozen broccoli. If using frozen, thaw and drain it well before using.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or a dash of black pepper to the mixture.
- Feel free to substitute other cheeses like Monterey Jack or a cheese blend.
