Description
Quick and easy mini donuts made in the air fryer, topped with a simple strawberry glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your mini donut pan or silicone molds.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut molds, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the donuts cool, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and strawberry jam. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired drizzling consistency.
- Dip or drizzle the cooled donuts with the strawberry glaze. Let the glaze set before serving.
Notes
- Ensure your air fryer is preheated for even cooking.
- Do not overfill the donut molds, as the donuts will puff up.
- Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze to achieve your preferred thickness.
