A quick and easy pasta dish perfect for when you need a meal in minutes.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it burn.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
- Toss to coat. Add Parmesan cheese and a splash of the reserved pasta water.
- Stir until the cheese melts and creates a sauce. Add more pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use your favorite type of pasta.
- Adjust garlic and Parmesan to your preference.
- For a creamier sauce, add a tablespoon of heavy cream.
