Description

A quick and easy pasta dish perfect for when you need a meal in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it burn.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
  5. Toss to coat. Add Parmesan cheese and a splash of the reserved pasta water.
  6. Stir until the cheese melts and creates a sauce. Add more pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of pasta.
  • Adjust garlic and Parmesan to your preference.
  • For a creamier sauce, add a tablespoon of heavy cream.
